Mark graduated from Babson College with honors in 1989. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Investment Management and Entrepreneurship. Babson College has been the #1-rated school for an entrepreneurship education since the year of Mark's graduation in 1989.

Ever since, he has remained deeply engaged in the student, faculty and alumni communities. He served on the Board of Overseers from 2002 to 2011.

Among many awards and honors over the years, in 2010, the Alumni Association recognized him with a Distinguished Lifetime Service to the College Award – for his tireless efforts to advance student education and career opportunities.

Babson Sustainability & Energy Club

Mark is the Co-Founder and Lead Benefactor of the BSEC, which organizes the Babson Sustainability Forum annually.

Their mission is to foster an atmosphere that focuses Babson’s energy towards making the world a better place for generations to come. They believe in the power of disruption and innovation powered by a strong community to enact positive social and environmental change.

 

Mark Donohue Cleantech Education Fund

In 2007, Mark created a scholarship fund for undergraduate and graduate students at Babson who are interested in the Cleantech & Impact space. The Fund provides for all-expenses-paid trips to the country’s leading events. Mark accompanied over 30 student groups to marquee Cleantech and impact entrepreneurship events, as their personal concierge to meeting the greatest sustainability leaders of our era.
